How to Collect Documents, IDs, and Resumes Through a WhatsApp Form

How to Add a File Upload Field

Open your form builder → Advanced tab

Drag in the File Upload field

Label it clearly — e.g. "Upload your resume (PDF)" or "Upload a photo of the issue"

Mark it required or optional depending on your workflow

Publish

Respondents can upload files up to 10MB each. Once uploaded, the file link appears in your WhatsApp message alongside their other answers, and in your dashboard's response history.

A Few Practical Tips

Only make it required when you truly need it upfront — an optional upload keeps the form fast for people who'd rather just talk first

Be specific in the label — "Upload ID proof (PAN or Aadhaar)" converts better than a vague "Upload document"

Pair it with a text field — for example, "Upload your resume" alongside "Total years of experience," so you get both the file and a quick-scan answer
